Cocker Spaniel Health Tip:

Another Great Tip from Patti Johnson...be sure to check out her Facebook Page!

No dog should ride in the open bed of a pickup truck. One swerve of the wheel to avoid a pothole has an enormous potential for injury, loss, or worse. Even riding in the back seat of a vehicle can be dangerous for your Cocker Spaniel. Be sure you have a safe, effective method for securing your beloved companion when traveling.

Most dog safety harnesses are not designed to protect your dog in case of an accident, even those that attach to the seat belts in the car. The best option is an approved crate securely strapped down with non-stretching bands. Research the method that works best for your vehicle and use it every time you ride anywhere with your dog. You'll be glad you did!
